What is Scheduled Execution

Scheduled execution is a feature that automatically runs tasks on a schedule. Schedules are defined as cron expressions with a timezone, so they can express daily, weekly, monthly or any other recurring pattern.

Execution Types

Recurring Execution

New tasks are recurring: the task runs every time its cron schedule matches.

One-time Execution

Tasks created with the older one-time scheduling keep running as before. When you edit such a task, the dialog shows “This task uses legacy one-time scheduling. Schedule settings are kept as-is in this dialog.” The “Schedule Type” column of the Table view shows “One-time” or “Recurring” for each task.

How to Set Schedule

Setting Schedule for New Task

1

Open the Add Task Dialog

Click “Add Task” on the Task Management screen.
2

Enter Task Basic Information

Enter agent, task name, and (optionally) initial user input.
3

Describe the Schedule

Type the schedule in natural language (for example “Every day at 9 AM”) and click “Parse natural language”, or fill in the cron fields directly.
4

Check Timezone and Next Run

Select the “Timezone” and confirm the “Next run” preview.
5

Click 'Save & Schedule'

Save settings and enable the schedule.

Schedule Settings Details

The schedule form has two ways of input.

Natural Language

1

Describe the Schedule

Type the schedule in the text box (placeholder: “e.g., Every day at 9 AM”).
2

Click 'Parse natural language'

The cron fields are filled in from your description. If parsing fails, “Failed to parse natural language. Please try again.” is shown.

Cron Fields

1

Fill in the Fields

Set “Minutes”, “Hours”, “Months”, “Days of the month” and “Days of the week” directly.
2

Check for Errors

An invalid combination shows “There’s an error in your cron schedule.” and disables saving.

Timezone

Select the “Timezone” the schedule is interpreted in. The “Next run” preview shows when the task will run next.

Automatic Execution

Scheduled tasks are automatically executed at the specified time.

Execution Flow

  1. When the specified time arrives, the system starts the task
  2. Initial input is sent to the agent
  3. The agent processes the request
  4. Execution results are saved

Checking Execution Results

1

Open Task Management Screen

Select “Tasks” from the side menu.
2

Check Completed Tasks

Completed tasks are in the “Completed” column (“Error” if the run failed).
3

View Details

Open the task’s menu (⋮) and select “View History”. The “Execution History” dialog lists each run with its start and finish time, status, tool calls, token usage and the “AI Response”.

Changing Schedule

You can change the execution time of scheduled tasks.
1

Select Scheduled Task

Click the settings menu (⋮) of the task you want to change.
2

Select 'Edit'

Select “Edit” from the menu.
3

Change Schedule

Set the new cron schedule.
4

Save

Click “Save & Schedule” to save.

Canceling Schedule

You can return a scheduled task to draft status.
1

Drag the Task to the Draft Column

In the Kanban view, drag the scheduled task’s card to the “Draft” column.
2

Return to Draft

The task returns to draft state and stops running automatically.
Dragging a card to the “Running” column opens a dialog with “Run Now” and “Schedule Later” to run the task immediately.

Troubleshooting

Please check the following:
  • Is the schedule correctly set?
  • Is the agent being used valid?
  • Is the connector connection valid?
  • Check the agent settings
  • Verify the initial input content is appropriate
  • Check connector permissions
